HRS Fundraising
To keep HRS on the air seven days a week costs well over £2,000 a year. Cash donations to support the service are always greatly received however most monies are raised through fund raising activities and each member of HRS is expected to participate in these activities.
The job of co-ordinating fund raising events throughout the year is the responsibility of the Fund Raising Officer and Fund Raising Committee. The Fund Raising Team meets regularly throughout the year planning an extensive diary of events in the local community. As well as Fund Raising these events also serve as ideal publicity events where we can inform the locality of who we are and most importantly what we do.
Thanks to our colleagues at both Hednesford Town and Stafford Rangers we have been able to raise quite significant funds for the service through donations, quiz night promotions and ground collections.
We are currently investigating the possibility of having some of our programmes sponsored by local companies to aid our fund raising however at the end of the day the majority of funds received will be via the general public at one of our community collections. I would personally like to thank the Stafford and Cannock communities for their great support and generosity over the last twelve months.
