Introduction to HRS
Hospital Radio Stafford broadcasts to the Staffordshire General Hospital on Weston Road, Stafford, and to the Cannock Chase Hospital in Cannock some eight miles away.
The HRS studios are sited at the rear of the Staffordshire General Hospital.
HRS started broadcasting in 1972 and has won many broadcasting awards.
Although all our members are volunteers, HRS aims to provide a professional local radio service for patients and staff in our local hospitals. Some of our members have moved to broadcasting careers and several present members have experience of broadcasting on local radio.
